Earlier this month, a lung cancer screening event was held at West Suburban Medical Center, and Oncology Nurse Navigator Rose Okulaja had the opportunity to educate one of our community members who was a smoker for years and quit smoking, but then started vaping thinking that there was zero risk with it. She was able to teach him the importance of lung screening and educate him on the side effects of vaping as well, which he was really grateful for!
