One Year, Preliminary Year

Internal Medicine Residency

The Preliminary Year Internal Medicine program is a one-year program for residents pursuing a career in a specialty program, such as Anesthesia, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Dermatology, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The department has the same high standards for preliminary and categorical residents. Residents have similar schedules and similar evaluation processes. They attend the same educational conferences and partake in the same learning opportunities.
