Welcome to the Internal Medicine Residency Program at West Suburban Medical Center. We have been training physicians since 1981, and our residents have pursued successful careers as general internists, hospitalists, sub-specialists, and even worked in the pharmaceutical industry. We work in a modern hospital setting, and care for patients of all levels of complexity. Our university-trained faculty is dedicated to residency education and shares their enthusiasm with the residents on a regular basis.
West Suburban Medical Center has state-of-art facilities, including a new Emergency Department, modern cardiac catheterization facilities, and a large endoscopy suite, among other resources. We teach residents in a supportive environment with outstanding clinical opportunities. Our patient population is diversified, which allows trainees to see patients at various degrees of health and illness. We are a major teaching site for medical students, who enhance the academic milieu.
Our mission statement says it well: "To Help People Achieve Health for Life." Our values of safety, excellence, respect, integrity, accountability and innovation permeate our life on a daily basis. We look forward to sharing the unique features of our residency with you.
