Interests: Brief description of interests, what made you come here, something unique, etc:  I chose West Suburban because I found the program to be academically and clinically rigorous but also with a strong underserved medicine component.  I'm also very interested in adolescent medicine, too.  You really can't beat the location, it allows for quite a diverse patient population mix as it's between the communities of Oak Park and Austin.  I was especially attracted to the unopposed aspect of the program which I thought would allow me more opportunities to do procedures and get interesting cases and gain clinical independence.  But most of all, I felt like I comfortably fit in with the mission, goals, and overall spirit of the residents and faculty there, like I could be a part of the West Suburban family!  In my spare time I love to go to the movies or plays, play board and card games, spend quality time with my family, friends, and girlfriend, and I absolutely love just zoning out to some old-school music.
