Thomas Bielanski, M.D.

Family Physician, Family Medicine Center

Dr. Bielanski received his undergraduate degree from Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle, Illinois. He completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and graduated from the West Suburban Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Bielanski maintained a private practice for seven years prior to joining the Residency Program as a full-time faculty member. Dr. Bielanski's teaching interests include evidence-based medicine including authoring POEMs reviews for The Journal of Family Practice, ambulatory/outpatient medicine, and procedures training for residents.

Dr. Bielanski has been a mentor for several medical student programs and was an instructor for Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine course for first year medical students. Dr. Bielanski is the recipient of the 1995 Family Practice Teacher of the Year Award from West Suburban Medical Center.

Dr. Bielanski, board certified in Family Practice, maintains a patient panel and serves as a preceptor at the Family Medicine Center.
