Senior Program
Staying active, involved and informed about your health is important to maintain an independent and healthy life, especially as you grow older. That’s why Vanguard West Suburban Medical Center has developed the West Suburban Senior Program, a free wellness program for adults age 60 and older.
The West Suburban Senior Program is designed to help you feel your best by offering educational, social and wellness programs geared toward the special needs and concerns of seniors.
Benefits
Your Senior Center membership entitles you to a wide variety of benefits, discounts and services, absolutely free. These include:
Education Programs
Free education programs are offered each month about issues important to you, like Medicare, insurance, retirement and health-related topics.
Exercise
Exercise in an important part of keeping healthy. That is why we offer free exercise classes, including Building Balance Exercise, Fit for the Fight Exercise, Tai Chi and Lunchtime Yoga.
Support Groups
Monthly support groups help build resources and support as you deal with the curve balls that life throws you.
Free Screenings
The program offers free monthly screenings to help determine your risk factors for such health issues as:
- High blood pressure
- Elevated cholesterol
- Diabetes
- Colon cancer

VIP Lounge
Membership in the West Suburban Senior Program gives you access to our members lounge. The lounge is designed to make your outpatient visit to the hospital more comfortable, whether it is with a cup of coffee, assistance getting to your appointment or just a place to rest before you’re ready to leave for the day.
