West Suburban Medical Center Honored With Fitzsimmons Award For Exceptional Contributions to the Health of the Community
The Oak Park Department of Public Health and the Board of Health recently honored several individuals and West Suburban Medical Center with the 2013 Dr. William Fitzsimmons Award for National Public Health Week in April. The award was presented to West Suburban at the May 20 regular meeting of the Village of Oak Park. West Suburban Medical Center was recognized with the other nominees for exceptional contributions to the health of the community. Noted among West Suburban’s contributions was the Hospital’s community outreach in providing free health screenings, health fairs and informational lectures on health topics.
